Hi, I'm Rick Ellis. I'm a Jiu Jitsu blackbelt under legendary Professor Roy Dean.
I believe that good Jiu Jitsu is highly efficient and technically impeccable. As an older athlete, I can’t rely on my physical attributes for success, so I've built my game around the principles of efficiency, leverage, and control.
In my view, effectiveness in Jiu Jitsu is a byproduct of technical mastery and the mastery of one’s own body. This approach is the key to longevity in the art.
This approach is what I teach.
